Rules of the Saint-Zotique Beach

Respect is always mandatory.

Guests must behave in a responsible and safe manner at all times.

In case of non-compliance with these rules, or disrespect towards the personnel or security attendants, the Saint-Zotique Beach reserves the right to expel any person from its premises without compensation.

  • Access to the Saint-Zotique Beach is prohibited between 7:01 pm and 8:59 am, unless a prior agreement with the Municipality of Saint-Zotique is made.
  • All glass containers are strictly prohibited on the site, the beach’s sand, and in the water (art. 58 Regulation respecting safety in public baths).
  • Drinking or eating in swimming areas is prohibited.
  • Anyone intoxicated with alcohol, drugs or any other substance will be expelled.
  • It is strictly forbidden to consume cannabis.
  • Pets are prohibited.
  • Vehicles parked outside the beach’s designated spaces will be towed without notice and at your charge.
  • Water crafts must stay out of the swimming area.
  • Fishing is only allowed in designated areas. Check with our personnel.
  • Tables are only allowed in the designated picnic areas.
  • It is prohibited to place BBQs directly on the picnic tables.
  • Trash must be thrown in the garbage can.
  • Ash bins are for ashes only. It is prohibited to dispose of trash in them.
  • Ashes must be thrown in the designated bins.
  • Open air fires are prohibited.
  • It is strictly forbidden to feed seagulls and any animal on the site.
  • Bikes are not allowed on the sand.
  • The Saint-Zotique Beach cannot be held responsible for any lost or stolen items.
  • Soliciting or selling objects of any kind at the Saint-Zotique Beach is prohibited unless a prior agreement with the Municipality of Saint-Zotique is made.
  • Reserved areas for groups must be respected, i.e. picnic and swimming areas.
  • The Saint-Zotique Beach reserves the right to prohibit sound systems if the volume is too high, or any other object that could affect the beach’s tranquility.

All guests must comply with the lifeguards’ instructions and refer to them in case of incidents.

Users must respect the swimming area’s limits.

  • Swimming is allowed between 10 am and 7 pm every day, when qualified personnel is on-site. Outside this timeframe, swimming is prohibited.
  • Children under the age of 6 and those who cannot swim must be accompanied and supervised at all times by a responsible person of 14 years or older in the swimming area..
  • Decent swimwear is mandatory.
  • Swim diapers are mandatory for babies.
  • Life-belts and individual life jackets are strongly recommended for people who cannot swim.
  • For safety reasons, diving is prohibited.
  • Throwing sand is prohibited.
  • It is forbidden to throw, make jump, or place someone on one’s shoulder.
  • Cellphone use is prohibited in the swimming areas.

  • Wading pool access is prohibited to people with skin lesions, skin disease or a contagious or infectious disease.
  • Glass containers, drinks and food are prohibited in the wading pool area.
  • Cellphone use is prohibited in the swimming areas.
